DRAFTING W/ CHRIS HORAN
This newsletter is a paid partnership with eBay.
Chris Horan is your favorite pop star’s favorite stylist. From Charli XCX and Christina Aguilera to Demi Lovato and Adela, some of music’s most exciting names have carved out their signature looks with Horan’s vision as a throughline.
At the core of the LA-based stylist’s work is a deep understanding of fashion history — used not as nostalgia, but as a tool to push the conversation forward. Whether it’s Charli paying homage to Kate Moss’s 1994 runway moment in archive Vivienne Westwood, or Christina nodding to her own earlier era in vintage Versace, reference becomes reinvention.
Kicking off 2026, DRAFTING partnered with eBay to dive deeper into Horan’s personal style and shopping habits. Out with the new and in with the old, the story traces how pre-loved fashion shapes not just the work, but the wardrobe of one of pop culture’s driving forces.
I wanted to get this for my best friend Sarah for so long and finally found one on eBay that had all the little trinkets, like the inflatable chair and posters.
I bought this Worldnet hoodie on eBay because at the time it spoke to me and I have a lot of love for the company that can ship us runway looks from Europe same day.
I went through a trench phase. I might go back, but my closet is too crowded and LA is too warm.
I really leaned into large hats at Coachella this year because I naively did a chemical peel the week before. I found this one on eBay and to be honest think it worked.
By right “moment” I mean a large amount of wealth that can afford me to get this Cartier Crash watch.
This Gucci Jackie Bag. She has taken me through a lot of trips and I will cherish her forever.
One of my obsessions of the last year is trying to secure Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga pieces. I check online once a month to see if anything has popped up — this era was what first really got me interested in fashion as a teenager. I found this metal t-shirt we used on Adela’s EP artwork shoot this way.
I got really nostalgic for the American Apparel colored hoodies after Addison wore the purple one in her “Headphones On” music video. I have been wearing it since I found it on eBay, and pair it with my baggy Acne suit trousers and loafers. I feel like the deep v-neck t-shirts are gonna be next.
I am bidding on this piece to hopefully work into a look for one of Charli’s movie press looks. I just watched this movie, Perfect Blue, and I really loved it. The plot is about a pop star who quits and becomes an actress. If I can get this on time, I think it would be cute to layer a long sleeve or button up under it — and wear with leather pants and a blazer for Sundance.
